Renting a Car for the 2026 World Cup in Los Angeles: The Practical Guide
Matches at SoFi Stadium, a city slammed for a month, and the smart way to move your group around without living in rideshare surge pricing.

The 2026 FIFA World Cup is here, and Los Angeles is one of the host cities. Matches land at SoFi Stadium in Inglewood across the June 11 to July 19 tournament window, and for the better part of a month the city fills with fans flying in from everywhere. Hotels are tight, rideshare surges, and the airport is busy from early morning to late night.
If you are coming in for the matches — or for a longer trip built around them — the question is how your group actually gets around. Here is what we tell guests who call us about it.
The window, and why it matters
SoFi Stadium hosts a slate of matches between June 11 and July 19. Around each one, the Inglewood and LAX corridor gets dense: traffic, parking demand, and surge pricing all spike on match days and the days flanking them. The earlier you sort transportation, the less you pay and the less you scramble.
A rental booked ahead locks in your rate and your car. Waiting until you land, in a city this busy, is how groups end up paying surge fares all week or stranded without a vehicle that fits everyone.
Getting in from LAX
SoFi Stadium sits about five miles from LAX, which is unusual — for most host-city stadiums the airport is a long haul. Here, the airport-to-stadium-to-hotel loop is short. We meet you curbside at LAX with the car detailed and fueled, so there is no rental counter, no shuttle to an off-site lot, and no line after a long international flight. For the full airport routine, see [our LAX delivery page](/bmw-rental-lax-delivery).
Delivery to your hotel near SoFi
Inglewood and the LAX hotel cluster are inside our standard service area, so hotel delivery near the stadium is straightforward. We drop at the porte cochère, leave keys with the front desk under your name, and pick up when your trip ends. Staying in Santa Monica, Beverly Hills, Hollywood, or Downtown instead? Same routine — we deliver across the whole LA metro.
Which car for your group
Group size is the whole decision.
Six or seven traveling together: the [BMW X7 M Sport](/fleet/bmw-x7-m-sport) at $211 a day is the luxury seven-seater — three real rows, panoramic roof, room for everyone plus bags. The [Kia Telluride](/fleet/kia-telluride) at $157 a day is the value seven-seater that does the same job for less.
A couple or a party of four: the [Chevrolet Equinox](/fleet/chevrolet-equinox) at $123 a day is the efficient, easy pick — a real AWD crossover without paying for a third row you will not use.
The point of a single group vehicle is keeping your party together — airport runs, fan-zone trips, dinners across the city between matches — instead of stacking up four separate rideshares at surge rates every time you move.
Match day at SoFi
Buy your SoFi Stadium parking pass in advance through the official channels. Lots are assigned and sell out, and on-site cash parking is not guaranteed on a World Cup match day. All three of our group picks fit standard stadium parking without issue.
Plenty of groups staying nearby leave the car at the hotel on match day, walk or rideshare the final stretch into Inglewood to skip the lot crush, and have the car for everything else — the beach, Hollywood, a drive up the coast on a rest day.
What is included, and how insurance works
Every rental is delivered detailed and fueled, with free delivery to LAX and across Greater LA. Renters bring their own eligible insurance policy, or add coverage at booking through our broker partner — we confirm the details at reservation so there are no surprises at handoff. Minimum driver age is 25.
We are owner-operated, with 1,444 trips and a 5.0 rating behind us, and the phone answers if anything comes up during your trip.
Tell us your dates, your group size, and your hotel, and we will recommend the right car and hold it for your trip.
